Today was the first sunday when the church started the first bible study series. The title was breaking out of carnal living.
I believe God is assuring me that my focus this year was indeed from Him. To train myself spiritually and physically. And today, I have learnt an important lesson from Chi Shyan about the carnal being.
The carnal being is essentially a spiritual man caught in the world and carnality prevents us from fulfiling God's purpose in us. What he has shared covered a number of important stuffs I had been reading these past few days and I could identify with his teaching.
O Lord, I am now brought to the awareness of how carnality sets in. In fact, I had not been writing my reflection on this blog for 2 days. I do pray that your Holy Spirit will come and prompt me to keep vigilant and not let go of the good that was started. I had a good start this year and I pray that I can also end well. I do not want to be like Saul with a bad ending. I commit myself to you Lord for the rest of this year. I commit my act of taking time out to read your word and writing into this blog to you Lord. May you grant me the discipline to continue doing this, even when my RT and Masters starts after March.
Help me Lord.

Hi Jonah
I've been following your "Everyday with Jonah" blog. Your commitment to write it encourages me. Indeed the sermon about having a good start and a bad ending also spoke to me. I've been having good starts in my life which often end up with endings that are not as good because I get complacent or proud along the way. Let's encourage one another to continue to press on to live through the good ending that God has in mind for us. :)
